Individual Therapy

I invite you talk as freely as you can about what goes on in your mind. Together we will work to understand the themes and patterns that come up in your life so that you can think about things differently and experience life through different lenses. We can explore the past, the “here and now”, and your fantasies about the future. Individual therapy begins with us meeting at least once per week for a 50-minute session. I prefer to meet with patients more frequently to offer the opportunity cultivate a closer connection and deepen the work we are doing together. My belief is that the therapeutic relationship is the most effective tool in addressing internal struggles. 

 

Family Therapy

Family therapy is a unique opportunity to nurture empathy, understanding, and intimacy in your relationships with your family. Each person in the family brings to the table their individual relational dynamics that they have learned from early experiences in life. In our work together, we will aim at identifying relational patterns and getting curious about their function in the family. These insights can help the members of the family make changes and shifts in how they approach one another. Similarly to individual therapy, family therapy begins with us meeting at least once per week for a 50-minute session. As we move forward in our work, we may decide that meeting more frequently is appropriate.
